PET Polyethylene Terephthalate is the most common thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family and is used in the manufacture of containers for liquids and foods. RPET Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate is made from recycled PET pellets. RPET results in 79% lower carbon emissions compared to virgin PET. With recycled content quotas becoming a standard in packaging, RPET is a viable option. 5 PP Polypropylene is a thermoplastic polymer used in a wide variety of applications. PP has a high melting point therefore it is suitable for hot liquids and foods and it dishwasher-safe. Pulp Fibre/Bagasse Predominantly made from the spent fibres of renewable agricultural crops, bagasse fibres are held together with a compostable bio-adhesive. Suitable for hot and cold food. Wood Birch is a fast-growing wood species and can grow up to 24 inches per year. Birch is used in a wide range of products by Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) who ensures sustainable forest management. Paper Made from recycled paper products, paper can be used for many applications. Paper products can be unlined or lined with either a PLA or PE lining to act as a moisture barrier. ...And the Materials We Don't EcoSystems includes a complete line of more sustainable food packaging alternatives not formulated with PFAS, a class of synthetic compounds added to food packaging to make it grease and waterproof. Often termed “forever chemicals”, they build up in the environment over time, creating potential health concerns. Looking to Learn More?
